How it works
We visit your premises for a no-obligation 30-minute review. We give you an honest RAG-rated assessment of your current H&S position — no jargon, no hard sell, no invoice.
We produce your bespoke H&S Policy, Risk Assessments, Fire Risk Assessment, COSHH Assessment and Emergency Procedures — completed on site and delivered as professional PDF documents.
We set up your secure client portal. All your documents are there, alongside your action plan, COSHH register and renewal dates. You can upload your own certificates and records directly.
We become your named Competent Person — available by phone and email, reviewing your documents annually, visiting quarterly on the Complete plan, supporting you when things change or go wrong.

Available to all clients. All prices exclude VAT.
CHAS/SafeContractor support covers James's time only. Clients pay the submission fee directly to CHAS (typically £300–500 depending on turnover band).
About Black Crow Safety
Owner-managed businesses are expected to manage increasingly complex health and safety responsibilities without the time, confidence or support to do it properly. Black Crow Safety was created to change that — by becoming a trusted partner, not another supplier.
James has spent over 40 years working in environments where safety decisions have real and immediate consequences — the British Army, McLaren Racing in Formula 1, commercial aviation under CAA regulation, and most recently as HSSEQ and Training Lead for a major national equipment hire company managing seven trainers across the UK and Ireland.
That career wasn't built in a compliance office. It was built on operational leadership — managing real risk, in real environments, where getting it wrong has real consequences. That experience shapes everything about the way Black Crow Safety works.
Black Crow Safety is based in Cwmbran — named from the Welsh meaning of the town: Valley of the Crows. We serve businesses across Torfaen, Newport, Monmouthshire and South East Wales.
